TASC™, The Association of Settlement Companies, is a nonprofit organization that was created to bring professionals, legislators and consumers together to promote good practice in the debt settlement industry.
"We all know these are challenging economic times when people are forced to make difficult decisions, which is why your article “Financial Traps are Flourishing” (March 2009) concerns us..."
Debt settlement companies act on behalf of consumer debtors to help them clear their debts. They do this by entering into direct negotiations with creditors in order to facilitate the repayment of debts. Through protecting the interests of consumer debtors and lobbying on behalf of debt settlement companies on both federal and state levels, TASC has become a reliable resource and network for debt settlement companies and the go-to source for information on the debt settlement industry.
Chris Kesterson serves as President of TASC. He is CEO of American Debt Exchange and Debt Settlement America. He obtained his MBA from University of New Orleans and BA from Tulane University. He is a member and a certified debt arbitrator of the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators.
